Ricercato ed elegante Anello in oro 18k di artigianato orafo Persiano tipico della tradizione locale, risalente al periodo safawide.
La lavorazione della montatura mostra la maestria e la padronanza dell’orafo nell’utilizzare differenti tecniche, dall’intaglio allo sbalzo, come ancora il motivo ad arabeschi realizzato a filo, sempre in oro, applicato sull’anello. Non ultimo, troviamo nel castone un bellissimo sigillo in agata verde. Le iscrizioni, in calligrafia Araba, possono recare sia il nome del proprietario sia preghiere rivolte alla gloria di Dio. L’arte calligrafica araba è l’arte di scrivere in maniera codificata ed esteticamente ricercata usando l’alfabeto arabo (Arabic: خط) o alfabeti di sua derivazione (persiano, turco osmanli, ecc.).
Indossati da donne e uomini, questi ultimi li portano sopratutto con sigilli, gli anelli venivano regalati dai califfi ai loro dignitari ed alle concubine, ma anche scambiati all’interno delle famiglie come dono tra i diversi componenti.

Refined and elegant 18k gold Ring – Persian goldsmith – faithful reproduction of a model dating back to the era of the Seljuk empire, which dominated from the XI to the XIII century the area that extends from the Hindu Kush (mountain range between Afghanistan and Pakistan) until to Eastern Anatolia, also including ancient Persia.
The processing of the frame shows the skill and mastery of the goldsmith to use different techniques, from the notch to the cantilever, and arabesques motifs made in gold flush, applied on the ring. Last but not least, a beautiful signet-seal made with a green agate. The inscriptions in the Arabic language, may bear both the owner’s name, or prayers addressed to God’s glory. Arabic calligraphy is the artistic practice of handwriting and calligraphy based on the alphabet. It is known in Arabic as khatt (Arabic: خط), derived from the word ‘line’, ‘design’, or ‘construction’.
Worn by women and men, these last bring with them especially seals, rings were given away by the caliphs to their dignitaries and concubines, but also exchanged within the family as a gift to the different members.
