Turkmen Bangle of Tekke’s handicraft made in solid Sterling Silver, Vermeil -hot gilding technique- and small cabochon-cut Turquoises positioned to form a design that frames the three elements standing on top of the cuff.
These decorations are typical of the art and crafts of this area of Central Asia, and they are usually embellished with glass details -here in red- set inside the bezel to create a contrasting effect.
In the open part of the bracelet, the design incorporates the ancient motifs made of rows of teeth of claws, which evokes the snakes’ heads: in origin, just like with the spearheads, these details were meant to ward off the evil spirits.
